Better Health Now. Today
When I started Better Health Now Today in 2014, I envisioned it as a public journal, I used this space to hold myself accountable, because maximizing physical and mental health can only come from our consciousness and awareness of what is beneficial to better health. I had a few struggles in life, physical and mental, and after taking a course with The Institute of Integrated Nutrition I started seeing the world of nutrition and food through the eyes of Wholistic health and how it was different from the views of big food corporations, the FDA, USDA, and allopathic medical doctors. I saw that omitting its [nutrition benefits] from the mainstream medical world was hindering the lives of so many people. I extended my educational path in community health and now I am working on my MPH in Global Health, I believe with this education I can and will be a catalyst for change and bring light and understanding that a plant-based food lifestyle or a 90% plant-based food lifestyle will not only change our trajectory of health but omit many of our need, [if not all] for allopathic medicine.
The philosophy of holistic nutrition is that one’s health is an expression of the complex interplay between the physical, chemical, mental, and emotional, as well as spiritual and environmental aspects of one’s life and well-being. As such, professionals who are trained in the holistic nutritional approach to health and healing from a whole-person perspective. Using nutritional education as a primary tool, holistic nutritional professionals emphasize the building of health by approaching each person as a unique individual.
I am constantly overwhelmed by the encouragement and feedback I receive from readers. Guiding others along their wellness journey is my passion in life, and I thank each and every one of you for your continued support.
